Angela Tervet – Church Secretary
Angela Tervet was born and brought up in Woodford and attended Woodford County High School and the South West Essex Technical College and School of Art where she studied Business Studies and followed a Professional Secretarial Course. She spent a large proportion of her working life in the merchant shipping industry in office admin and personnel. In the early 60s she had a break from office life for a couple of years and worked for The Ockenden Venture as an Assistant House Mother to 20 or so boys from Displaced :Persons Camps in Germany. She has helped to run a Brownie Pack and had been heavily involved in church youth work. Now retired, Angela has more time for travel both at home and abroad, plays tennis several times a week, organises trips and visits for her local NADFAS, is a member of the U3A, goes to several classes and, of course, is kept busy with all her church work.
